There is a moment during each construction of a fence when a person stands in the middle of the plot, holds a measuring tape in one hand and coffee in the other, and wonders: how many meters actually? Then he starts counting the steps. Then he makes a mistake on the third corner. Then a neighbor arrives and the discussion turns to the reform of the pension system.

Effect? You ordered 30 panels, you need 47. Or the other way around - you bought them with a spare and now 12 are standing under the shelter and rusting from 2021.

We did something specific with it.

A map that counts meters by itself

In our fence calculator you can enter the address of the plot, find it on the map and literally draw the fence with clicks. Point by point, along the border. The map counts the length in real time - you see the result after each click.

You don't need a meter. You don't have to go to the plot. All you need is an address and 3 minutes.

What happens after drawing?

This is the part where the calculator stops being a "nice toy" and starts being a work tool. After selecting the fence line, click "Calculate" and you get:

  • Number of panels - each panel is 2.5 m long, the calculator divides it itself, rounds it up and adds a 5% allowance for corners and possible cuts. No surprises on the construction site.
  • Number of posts - one for each span plus one at the end. Standard spacing is 2.5 m. If you have curves or other breaks in the ground - the calculator calculates correctly anyway, because it measures along the drawn line, not "by eye".
  • Concrete - foundation for posts. The calculator assumes 0.4 bags of 25 kg for each post (this is the minimum for embedding below the frost line of 80 cm). You can correct this if you are making a continuous foundation.
  • Mounting clamps - 2 pcs. per panel, top and bottom. Automatic.
  • Gate and wicket - you select in the options, the calculator subtracts these meters from the panel calculation and adds the item to the list of materials. Because a gate is not a panel and there is no point in buying 3 panels in the place where the entrance is.

Where to get the dimensions if the plot is in the forest/outside the city/you are just buying it?

Good question. We have three answers:

Option A: Geoportal

The calculator has an "Open Geoportal in this place" button - after clicking, you go to geoportal.gov.pl exactly on your plot. Turn on the Registration plots layer, select the ruler tool and click along the border. The geoportal is the official map with boundaries plots - more accurate than Google Maps, especially in suburban and rural areas.

You enter the measured result manually in the "I know how many meters I have" field - and the calculator does the rest.

Option B: Google Maps satellite

Right-click on the Google map → "Measure distance" → click along the border. Enough for a preliminary valuation. The difference vs. reality for a normal plot is usually 1-3%, which is included in the 5% margin that the calculator added for you.

Option C: Good old yardstick

Yes, you can. Enter the result in the manual field and click "Calculate". No shame. Metric is a reliable tool - the only problem is when it is calculated by someone who is also talking about something.

When is a calculator not enough?

The calculator works great with simple fences - a rectangle, an "L-shape", a straight line with a few corners. But there are situations where things get complicated:

  • Uneven terrain with a significant slope (the panels do not meet the slope like a roller blind)
  • Fence with a foundation along the entire length and individual height
  • Combination of an automatic gate, wicket, spans and a wall - different systems in one project
  • Plot with rounded corners or 45° slant

In such cases, the calculator may not capture all the details. And that's why we have a second option:

Free quote within 24 hours from engineers

After the calculation, the calculator has a "Send quote by e-mail" button. You enter the address, optionally add comments - and that's it. The list of materials is sent to you by e-mail, and a copy is sent to us.

If the project is more complicated than a rectangle - we will come back to you within 24 working hours with a prepared quote. Not "general", but specific: so many panels, so many posts, such concrete, such a gate - with price and availability.

Free of charge. No obligations. No pushy phone call saying "maybe you will decide today."

How much does it really cost?

Not to be abstract - an example from real life:

Plot 20×30 m (circumference 100 m), 3 sides to the fence (75 m), gate 3 m and wicket 1 m:

  • Fi5 graphite panel RAL7016 1230×2500 mm: 28 pcs. × PLN 95 = PLN 2,660
  • Fi60 steel posts: 29 pcs. × PLN 40 = PLN 1,160
  • Clamps: 56 pcs × PLN 5 = PLN 280
  • Concrete 25kg: 12 bags × PLN 18 = PLN 216
  • Total materials: approx. PLN 4,316
  • Labour (approximately PLN 60/m): approx. PLN 4,200
  • Total: approx. PLN 8,500–9,000

When ordering 50+ panels, the price drops to PLN 90/pcs - for larger plots, this is a real saving (PLN 5 × 50 pcs = PLN 250 in your pocket).

Act

Go to the calculator, enter the address and draw a fence. The quote will appear before the coffee runs out.
